"Jesus is Jealously Pursuing His Bride"

Greetings in Jesus Name!

In June of this year while I was attending "The Unconditional Surrender Conference" in Pasco Washington I had a vision. While we were praying I saw the Lord racing toward His Bride! He was very intense and very fierce. He was tearing down everything in His path that stood between Him and His Bride!

Since the time of this vision the Holy Spirit has began to speak to me about this vision. He reminded me of the time when Jesus entered the Temple in Jerusalem and with a whip began to throw out everything there that didn't belong in His House of Prayer. I realize now this is the very same zeal and jealousy that He is coming to His people with in this very hour. The Lord then gave me some scriptures to further explain what He is saying. The first one is in Proverbs 27:4, "Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous: but who is able to stand before jealousy?" The second was Malachi 3:2, "But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appeareth? For He is like a refiners fire and a fullers soap." As the Lord showed me these verses I understood that He is coming as a jealous God! The Lord will have His Bride as His Father promised and She will be without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. The coming of the Lord is called all through scripture the Great and terrible day of the Lord. Also it is called the day of His anger and or the day of His wrath. John the Baptist asked those coming to be baptized "Who warned you to flee the wrath to come?" When Jesus comes it says people will cry for the rocks to cover them up and hide them from the face of the wrath of the Lamb. Now that we are put into remembrance of all these things what do they mean to us now? How does this affect us?

When the great day of the Lord comes and the entire world is running away from Jesus glorious appearing His Bride will already have been prepared! We are to be running to meet Him! We are to love His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8). The Lord will have us ready by having us face His jealousy now. Not the jealousy of His anger but the fierce jealousy of His love! Some keys to understanding this jealousy are found in the following scriptures. 1 Corinthians 10:21-22: "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils: Ye cannot partake of the Lords table, and the table of devils. Do we provoke Him to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?" What are the things we do when we eat and drink the Lords cup and table? We worship and adore the Lord, sing praises to Him, spend time with Him, talk to and listen to Him, give Him thanks just to name a few. One can easily assume that when we spend time with the devils and partake of devilish activities that we are doing the same for devils. If your lifestyle is one of church and devils you can count on the Lord being provoked to jealousy. He will do what He must to stop you from this even if He has to destroy your flesh. However the jealousy I saw in Him was much deeper than this!

Maybe you are not in some blatant sin. Maybe you are a person of prayer and fellowship with the Lord. Maybe you spend a lot of time in praise and worship. All these things are commendable. But I can tell you that the Lord right now is in the business of removing all the stumbling blocks between you and Him! He is healing wounds, imparting faith, breaking curses, and setting His people free from sinful traits and attitudes that have hindered them for years! Most of us who serve Him still have some besetting thing like anger, insecurity, fear or infirmity. Some of us still gossip in the name of concern and carry around misconceptions about God and His Word. Some of us have tried to reconcile with others who refused. The list goes on!

If it separates us from Him it provokes Him. If it separates brothers and sisters it provokes Him. Proverbs 6:19 says one of the things the Lord hates"He that sows discord among the brethren!" Jesus is going to have a cross bearing Bride dedicated to Unity and Love. His great love is tearing down everything that stands in His way. Though this may seem hard it is well worth it. We can actually finally become what He has called us to be! We can begin to walk in His promises instead of our failures!

Remember: friendship with the world is hostile to God!!! I encourage you right now where you are to yield before the Lord in prayer and welcome and embrace this work of His jealousy, this work of His love! The kindness of God wants to lead us to a deep repentance.

Finally I leave you with this thought. Jesus said that all men would know we were His disciples when we love one another. If we were doing this the world would have noticed it. Maybe we mean to do it but we aren't there yet. All you have to do is look at the world who sees us as divided from each other, one part hating the other, and so on. Well maybe we don't hate each other but if we don't the world can't see it. Almost everyone reading this has been wounded by some church person or church leader not to mention the non-stop gossip and slander the Lords ministers continuously put up with from the Lords people. Do we really think Jesus doesn't see? Do we really think He will simply ignore this? Are we brave enough to face God and ask Him to deal with all of us starting with ourselves? Lord please remove the stumbling blocks in me that stop your bride from being who she is! Oh please bring me closer to you and your church even if it makes me uncomfortable! When He shows you what to do then do it!

May God richly bless you as you follow Him,

Pastor Steve Anderson

P.S. It will make us uncomfortable. We are going to need each other!
